Galveston Island 2013

Maddie and I recently went on a Mother/Daughter/Granddaughter trip to Galveston for the weekend with a bunch of others..15 to be exact. It was my first time in Galveston and Maddie's first time at the beach. I wish her daddy could have been there to see her.

She was fearless.
She would go as deep as she could before we scooped her up.

This was the beach house we rented for the weekend. It was a quick walk to the ocean and was amazing to look out in the morning.

Two of the daughters took pictures of the families/group. It was a lot of fun and the time of day made the beach and sky look a lot prettier than it did in person!

My little turkey. She was pretty good the entire weekend..she loved been outdoors and would be whoever's best friend that would take her. She didn't want to go to bed or nap though. That would mean missing out on whatever everyone else was doing.

We could never get everyone to jump at the same time!

When Hurricane Ike came through in 2008 it uprooted and killed most of the trees. Sculpture artists came in and created different tree sculptures throughout some of the neighborhoods. I chose this one entitled Great Dane for Maddie and I's picture because she loves dogs. She even wanted to give him a kiss. The tree actually grew into the fence so they sculpted the paws right into it.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog, October Blessings! I'm Jenn, a twenty-something (kind of) stay at home mom.

I married an amazing man, Adam, in October 2007 and we live outside of Dallas, TX with our sweet daughter Madison. She was born in October 2011 so you can see why October is a month of blessings for us (not to mention my obsession with pumpkin flavored stuff doesn't seem as crazy when October rolls around).

We have two dogs and have lived in our house for 6 years. I love being a mommy and wife, reading blogs and magazines, home decor, makeup, researching things online, and I am completely addicted to coffee. Oh and now I'm trying once again to blog..I've failed to keep up numerous times. So wish me luck and we'll see how it goes..
